Hamilton Barnes on behalf of our client is seeking an entry-level SOC Analyst to join a security operations team. You’ll learn Fortinet and Microsoft SIEM/EDR platforms, triage 80–100 alerts per shift, and develop hands-on skills in threat detection and incident response.

This role offers a structured training and development program to progress from junior to a fully-fledged SOC Analyst, with a frontline defence focus across defence, government and financial services.

Qualifications

• Entry-level candidates welcomed; comprehensive training provided.
• Eligibility for SC clearance preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage security alerts (80–100 per shift) using Fortinet and MS SIEM/EDR.
• Analyse and prioritise alerts to identify threats.
• Provide rapid incident response and maintain vigilance.
• Collaborate with SOC team for incident management.
