Job summary

Carmichael UK is seeking a Junior Site Engineer to support civil engineering and infrastructure projects. This role offers hands-on site exposure and development under experienced engineers on a busy site in the construction sector.

The successful candidate will assist with setting-out, surveying, QA/QC, and day-to-day engineering tasks while adhering to programme requirements and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Some site experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or construction preferred.
• Basic setting-out knowledge.
• Familiarity with surveying equipment such as Total Stations/GPS would be advantageous.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Keen to learn and develop within a site engineering environment.

Junior Site Engineer – Civil Engineering / Infrastructure

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Site Engineer to join a busy civil engineering project. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to develop their site experience and progress their career within the construction and infrastructure sector.

Working alongside experienced Site Engineers and the wider site team, you will support the delivery of works safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with setting out and surveying works
• Using engineering drawings and specifications on site
• Supporting QA/QC documentation and site records
• Carrying out basic measurements and as-built surveys
• Working closely with Site Engineers, Site Agents and subcontractors
