Job summary

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a confident Band 6 Paediatric nurse with substantial Band 5 experience in Paediatric Oncology/Haematology to join our expert team at RMCH, Manchester. You will work within a 32-bed inpatient ward, a dedicated OPD/day case facility, and a 15-bed Bone Marrow Transplant unit, delivering high-quality child-centre care.

The role focuses on education, staff development and clinical leadership to support complex paediatric patients and families.

Job summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for confident, compassionate, and clinically credible nurse to join our dedicated team. We are seeking a Band 6 Paediatric nurse with significant experience at Band 5 within the field of Paediatric Oncology/Haematology.

As the regional centre for Paediatric Oncology and Haematology for the North West, the unit consists of a 32 bedded Inpatient ward, dedicated OPD and day case facility and a 15 bedded Bone Marrow Transplant/ Gene Therapy and Stem cell unit.

Ward 86 cares for children with life threatening illnesses from diagnosis, treatment and supportive care and work with our non-malignant haematology colleagues to provide treatment and support for children with conditions such as Thalassemia and Sickle Cell disease. This is a 24 hour/ day 7 day per week service.
