A major NHS teaching hospital in London is seeking a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse to support team leadership and ensure high-quality patient care in a multidisciplinary environment. The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree and experience in a clinical setting. Responsibilities include managing patient care and collaborating with medical teams to drive improvements. We are looking for an inspirational nurse who enjoys teamwork and making a difference to the team and our patients. The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse will assist the Team Leader with managing their own team of nurses and ensuring they meet their potential. You will be activity involved in retention and recruitment. You will also be responsible for link roles giving you the opportunity to drive change and improve standards. Candidates who have interviewed in the last 3 months need not apply. As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse you will be required to support the senior and junior team in ensuring the needs of our patients are met through the delivery of high quality care. The role involves working as part of a large multidisciplinary team including the medical team, practice development team, safeguarding, youth workers, mental health liaison team and the trauma team. The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse works clinically including unsocial hours and will be expected to work competently in all areas of the Emergency Department as well as being able to independently take charge of them. The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse can take charge of the department in the absence of more senior staff.
