What SDR does

This is typically the entry point for anyone looking to begin a career in tech sales or business development. You will work closely with Account Executives who are closing the pipeline you generate. You are on the frontline as the first touch point for a range of businesses, from well known major companies and government departments to a FinTech AI start up.

You will have a quota and set meetings with senior level decision makers for our Account Executives. Your opportunity to win business and create impact over your 12 months with us is real.

Responsibilities
  • Qualify leads from various sources including website, marketing events, seminars and incoming calls, from initial contact to a qualified appointment with an Account Executive.
  • Find up-sell opportunities.
  • Involvement in account planning and mapping exercises with the wider sales team.
  • Get involved in projects that support the wider sales team.
  • Build key relationships with prospects to gain a deep understanding of company and prospect goals to enable expansion of Box technology and solutions across the enterprise.
  • Undertake campaigns with Marketing around specific business propositions and market awareness.
  • Manage accurate administration of our lead management system (Salesforce.com).
What Box is looking for
  • Communication: strong phone/video presence and excellent written language capability.
  • Drive: resilience to overcome objections and a can-do attitude toward personal goals.
  • Attention to detail: detail-oriented by nature, able to prioritise effectively and maintain quality under deadlines.
  • Commercial Acumen: ability to problem solve and creatively uncover new opportunities for future sales pipeline.
  • Language: Fluent German or French speaking is required.
  • Eligibility: you must be an undergraduate student in a placement year returning to study Autumn 2027 and have the right to work in the UK.
  • Desirable: studying a subject related to Business, Management or Marketing; not a specific degree background required for a placement student.
