Position Overview

Avant Consult Ltd is part of Activate Group, a leading provider of accident management and automotive aftermarket services. The Junior Project Manager will assist in delivering a diverse range of Client Implementation and Change project objectives across various functions within Avant and the wider group. Working closely with the Director of Operations, this role will assist in planning, coordinating, and executing projects that drive business improvement and client satisfaction. Working under the guidance of the Director of Operations, the Junior Project Manager will support projects through established frameworks and methodologies, helping to ensure our technology, services, and processes meet client and business needs on time, within scope, and at the highest quality.

The Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director of Operations in planning and delivering operational projects and client implementations.
  • Support the delivery of Client Implementation and Change Projects across the organisation.
  • Support the gathering and analysis of project requirements from clients and internal teams.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, roadmaps, RAID logs, project communications, and status reporting.
  • Support Project Working Group meetings, taking minutes and tracking actions.
  • Coordinate project activities across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of project reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder communications.
  • Maintain project management tools and systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain project documentation and track project tasks to completion.
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Build effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Support quality assurance activities to ensure project deliverables meet agreed standards.
  • Participate in project reviews and lessons learned sessions to support continuous improvement.
  • Office-based role in Huddersfield with occasional requirement to travel to client sites or other locations where appropriate.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Qualification or working towards a project management qualification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, Agile).
  • Previous experience in a project coordination, administrative, or support role.
  • Experience with project management software or tools (e.g. MS Project, Trello, Asana).
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience supporting client implementations or onboarding activities.
  • Ability to demonstrate support of projects covering diverse objectives across multiple functions such as technology, operations, and client services.
