About Your Role

As a Junior Project Manager in our Structures team, you will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects or specific components within larger assignments, developing your knowledge of the project lifecycle, WSP’s systems, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management for assigned tasks or project components.
  • Assist with stakeholder coordination, preparing project documentation and progress reports.
  • Identify and elevate risks or issues, understanding their potential impacts on cost, programme, and quality.
  • Contribute to quality assurance by ensuring deliverables meet agreed standards.
  • Maintain organised project records, updating schedules, registers, and trackers as needed.
  • Apply a proactive approach to learning project management principles and WSP’s delivery standards.
About the Team

You will be part of our wider Civils team, made up of over 400 professionals across the UK and sit within our Transport & Infrastructure business unit. Your future development will be actively supported with access to WSP’s full range of training, development tools and resources and be part of transforming UK infrastructure. You will integrate into our team’s flexible working culture, offering a balance of home and office working, where safety and wellbeing are paramount.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or a related field desirable.
  • Early career experience or exposure to project management processes, ideally within engineering or infrastructure environments.
  • Basic understanding of project lifecycles and planning tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
