Job summary

ETL Systems, based in Hereford, is seeking a motivated Junior Production Engineer to join our Production Engineering team. This hands-on role supports electronics and mechanical assembly, production documentation, quality processes and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will create and maintain work instructions, assist with First Article Inspection, resolve manufacturing issues with cross-functional teams, and help reduce waste while ensuring health, safety

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, apprenticeship, degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Previous exposure to a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
• Basic knowledge of electronics assembly, soldering, wiring or mechanical fitting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of quality and continuous improvement principles.

Responsibilities

• Support PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly and production build activities.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of work instructions, assembly documentation and wiring diagrams.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and quality control activities.
• Work with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
• Support prototype builds and provide feedback on manufacturability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.

Role Overview

Key Accountabilities

This role requires you to work on‑site at our modern manufacturing facility in Hereford - Before applying, please make sure you can commute to Coldwell Radio Station, Madley, Herefordshire, HR2 9NE
