Job summary

Medly AI in London is seeking a Junior Product Designer to shape the core learning experience used by hundreds of thousands of students. You’ll work closely with founders, engineers, and designers to take features from idea to shipped UI, driving craft and detail in every screen.

This hands-on, early-career role values strong taste, rapid learning, and a passion for education. You’ll contribute to design systems, prototype interactions, and help shape a growing product in a fast-paced EdTech

Qualifications

• Portfolio of product or UI design work showing taste in layout, typography, colour and detail.
• Degree from a leading university or top design school; hybrids like Design Engineering or HCI are valued.
• Recent graduate or up to ~1 year of professional design experience.
• Solid UI/UX fundamentals including layout, hierarchy, typography and colour.
• Confident in Figma and design system usage.
• Fast learner, open to feedback and iteration.
• Deep interest in education and how students learn.
• Exposure to design systems and component-based design.
• Comfort prototyping in Figma or similar tools.
• Some motion/illustration or basic front-end knowledge.
• B2C or mobile app design experience.

Responsibilities

• Design UI for new and existing features in the learning app.
• Take features from wireframes to production-ready screens with product/engineer teams.
• Contribute to and maintain the design system in Figma.
• Translate user needs and product goals into simple, intuitive flows.
• Prototype interactions to test ideas before build.
• Incorporate feedback from users, data, and teammates to refine designs.
• Help keep the product cohesive and beautifully designed as it grows.
