Junior Product Design Engineer

Lincoln Outskirts (Transport Essential due to rural location) – Full Time, Permanent, c. £26,000

Our Lincoln based Client is looking to recruit a Junior Product Design Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. Our client is a market leader in their area of expertise and is looking for a very creative and proactive Candidate.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as a Junior Product Design Engineer will include:

• Assist the existing NPD team in preparation of technical artwork eg. instruction manuals.
• Administration of instruction manual logging and archiving.
• Designing products alongside the Designers and Product Managers
• Generating and updating 3D CAD models in Solidworks.
• Creating BoM and specification sheets for product lines.
• Assisting with concept prototyping and product inspection builds.
• Conduct strategic market research as necessary.
• Support off‑site activities such as safety testing, photo shoots etc.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Junior Product Design Engineer will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

• Proficient in SolidWorks, InDesign and Illustrator.
• Experience in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Degree qualification in Product Design or equivalent qualifications/experience.
• Ability to work in a deadline‑oriented environment, and be a highly organized individual with the ability to multi‑task and have high attention to detail.
• Confident, able to work on own initiative, enthusiastic & excellent communicator.
• Hands on approach to design, practical thinker.
• Proven ability to work as part of a small team will be crucial to success.
