Junior Product Technologist

We’re now looking for a Junior Product & Process Technologist to join our New Product Development team in Bury St Edmunds, someone passionate about food, curious about how great products are made and ready to take their first big step into a career in food manufacturing.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, varied role supporting our NPD and Development Chef teams from concept to launch.

You’ll be involved in:

  • Assisting with new recipe development, kitchen trials, and product improvements.
  • Making samples, supporting tastings, and managing ingredients and raw materials.
  • Running your own smaller development projects with support from senior technologists.
  • Helping coordinate factory trials, collecting data, and learning how products scale from kitchen to production.
  • Keeping our development kitchen stocked, organised, and running smoothly.

It’s a busy, collaborative environment, one where you’ll see your ideas take shape, learn from an experienced team and get exposure to every part of the product development process.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re open‑minded about background, you might be:

  • A recent Food Science or Culinary graduate (ideally with a placement year or short industry experience), or
  • Someone already working as a development assistant, kitchen technologist, or NPD support in the food industry.

What matters most is your enthusiasm, curiosity, and self‑starter mindset. You’ll enjoy being hands‑on, love getting involved in trials and tastings, and be comfortable juggling admin, lab work, and creative problem solving.
