Overview

An esteemed graduate college affiliated with a leading university is seeking an inspiring and professional Junior Pastry Sous Chef to join their team through our agency. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing kitchen operations and ensuring all food is prepared to a high standard.

The Role

As a Junior Pastry Sous Chef, you will lead by example, providing motivation and inspiration to the team. You will demonstrate high levels of skill in food preparation and presentation, with a particular focus on desserts and sweets.

Responsibilities
  • Experience in supervising catering operations, managing staff, producing reports, costings, menus, and associated paperwork, or kitchen experience ready to take the next step in development
  • Excellent culinary skills, with the ability to design menus for daily catering and special events, coupled with good food cost control abilities
  • Strong communication skills to engage professionally with clients, customers, colleagues, and management
  • Basic pastry and cake-making skills, with a desire to learn and develop new skills
