Job summary

Sterling Practice is seeking a newly qualified or early-career occupational therapist to join its multidisciplinary team, working across clinics, schools and community settings. The post centres on assessing children and young people and delivering intervention, including EHCP-specified provision, with schools and families.

It suits someone at the start of their career, with structured supervision and a varied caseload in neurodevelopment and sensory processing.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration, or awaiting registration as a newly qualified occupational therapist
• Good communication and collaborative abilities with schools, families and professionals

Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy assessments for children and young people
• Deliver structured intervention programmes to improve participation and independence
• Support delivery of EHCP-specified provision
• Support participation in education and daily activities
• Work with children and young people across clinic, school and community settings
• Work closely with families, schools, SENCOs and other professionals
• Provide advice and classroom strategies to support pupils
• Take part in multidisciplinary working and team discussions
• Maintain accurate clinical records and reports
