Job summary

Optima Health is recruiting a Trainee Occupational Health Technician in Watford with nationwide travel. Salary is £28,500 per annum, permanent, 37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday.

A valid UK manual driving licence and the ability to drive a 3.5-tonne van are required. You will deliver safety-critical medical assessments on national client sites, individually or as part of a team, supporting wellbeing initiatives and health surveillance across our occupational health services.

Qualifications

• Sports and Exercise Science or a similar field.
• Live within an hour travel to Watford.
• Must be happy to travel and stay away if required (expenses paid for).
• Good interpersonal skills.
• IT / PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow training and assessment, undertake agreed clinical activities relevant to Optima Health OH services such as health surveillance.
• Assist in undertaking a range of service items e.g., Driver's medicals, Well Person medicals, lung function tests, fitness tests and any other service that may be required.
• Be accountable for delivery, recording and reporting health.
• Ensure the delivery of the highest possible standards of quality assured, evidence-based practice.
• Work unsupervised at times both in the department and at other premises, delivering OH services to clients allocated to their care.
• Be responsible for cleaning and stock checking clinical areas as per protocols and checklists.
• Help promote the health and wellbeing of employees.
