Job summary

Fruition Group in Leeds is seeking a Junior/Mid-level Software Tester to support the delivery of high-quality software and a great user experience.

The role involves manual testing of web-based applications, collaboration with developers, and opportunities to grow automation testing skills as the QA function matures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of commercial testing experience.
• Good understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
• Experience logging and managing defects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing across web-based applications and internal systems.
• Create and maintain test cases, test plans, and test documentation.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Validate bug fixes and support release testing activities.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.
• Develop knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks.

Job description

Location: Leeds City Centre (2 days per week onsite, 3 days remote)
Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum
