COMPANY NAME: M&E Contractor in Greater London is seeking a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our growing team. You will support delivery from planning to completion, working with experienced engineers and project managers to ensure safe, on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of experience in a mechanical engineering or project engineering role.
  • Completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship is preferred.
  • Candidates from toolmaking, machining, or skilled trades who progressed into engineering roles are welcome.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of mechanical engineering projects.

Job description

We are working on behalf of one of the biggest M&E contractors in the market, who are looking for a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer with 4–5 years' experience to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone hands-on, technically capable, and looking to develop their career within a fast-paced project environment.

About the Role

As a Junior Mechanical Project Engineer, you'll support the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from initial planning through to completion. Working alongside experienced engineers and project managers, you'll help ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

What They are Looking For
  • 4–5 years' experience in a mechanical engineering or project engineering role.
  • Ideally, you will have completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
  • They would also welcome candidates who have come through the toolmaking, machining, or skilled trades route and have progressed into engineering or project-based roles.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership of projects.
  • Experience coordinating suppliers, customers, or production teams would be an advantage.
