Junior M&E Design Engineer

Location: Kent (Office-based only)

Salary: £25,000 – £32,000 DOE

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays)

The Role

We are seeking a Junior M&E Design Engineer to support the design team in producing accurate, efficient, and compliant mechanical and electrical building services designs.

Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you’ll assist in:

  • Preparing and checking drawings, calculations, and technical documentation
  • Coordinating M&E information across internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors
  • Attending client and design meetings
  • Producing take-offs, technical submissions, and design amendmentsSupporting technical coordination with site teams and design partners
  • Learning key industry tools (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) with the aim of progressing into a fully independent design engineer

This role is ideal for someone ambitious, detail-driven, and eager to grow their technical career within the building services sector.

About You
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Experience in mechanical or electrical design/installation is an advantage
  • AutoCAD or Revit experience beneficial (training can be provided)
  • Reliable, punctual, and keen to learn
Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm
  • Office-based in Sittingbourne (no hybrid working)
