Overview

We are looking for a Junior Landscape Architect / Junior Garden Designer to join our supportive and talented team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career designer to develop their skills in a creative and collaborative environment. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across a range of projects, from concept design to planning, tender, and completion.

We take career development seriously, covering professional membership fees and providing educational support through the Pathway to Chartership. In addition to regular CPDs, we are open to ideas that enhance the workplace experience and further elevate the professionalism of our practice.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting the team on a variety of exciting high-end residential schemes.
  • Contribute to projects at all stages, from concept through to delivery.
  • Drawing up design packages, including detailed drawings and planting plans.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining in-house design resources and libraries.
  • Developing your design, technical, and project delivery skills.
  • Gaining exposure to multidisciplinary collaboration and client interaction.
  • Supporting the refresh and growth of Studio Montagu’s online presence through creative website and social media content that showcases our projects and achievements.
About You
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline.
  • Ideally 2–3 years’ experience in a design practice.
  • Strong design and presentation skills with an eye for detail.
  • Good technical skills: Vectorworks, SketchUp, or AutoCAD (not essential); Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Rendering or visualisation experience is a plus.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and creative mindset.
  • A genuine passion for landscape and garden design and a desire to grow professionally.
