LA International is seeking Junior Java Developers for a Public Sector client in London. You will have 1–4 years of hands-on Java software development experience and a keenness to further develop your skills.

The role involves working with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, Git, Maven/Gradle, and Docker. The position is a 6-month contract on a hybrid model with two office days per week in London and an early December start.

Job description

Junior Java Developer (1-4 years experience)

We are looking for a number of Junior Java Developers for a Public Sector client. You will have between 1 to 4 years experience with a keenness to further develop your skills and experience in Java software development.

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java (often Java 11 or newer) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).


• Frameworks: Familiarity with the Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Boot and RESTful web services.


• Tools & Version Control: Experience with Git, build tools like Maven or Gradle, and containerization basics like Docker.

This is a 6 month contract initially and is on a hybrid working model with two days in the office in London every week. It is an inside IR35 contract starting in early December.

Candidates with SC clearance or willing to undergo will be considered.

Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take a minimum 10 weeks.
