Job summary

A growing IT service provider located in the United Kingdom is seeking a Junior IT Support Analyst. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career to enhance their problem-solving abilities and technical skills within a supportive team. Responsibilities include providing first-line support, troubleshooting issues, and managing user accounts. Ideal candidates will have experience in IT support, a good understanding of Windows environments, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a junior IT support / service desk role or strong internship experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11.
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory.

Were looking for a Junior IT Support Analyst and is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who enjoys problem-solving, supporting users, and developing their technical skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end users
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Support and maintain Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory
  • Assist with basic networking tasks (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests
  • Escalate complex issues where necessary and follow through to resolution
  • Maintain clear documentation and contribute to knowledge bases
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a junior IT support / service desk role (or strong internship experience)
  • Good working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory (user management, password resets, permissions)
  • Basic understanding of networking principles
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable (but Not Essential)
  • IT-related qualifications or certifications (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft)
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Exposure to Office 365 / Microsoft 365
