Junior IT Field Service Technician

Bromsgrove (Hybrid - 3 days per week)

£25,000 - £27,000 + Personal Development Budget + Travel Allowance

An excellent opportunity for someone early in their IT career, whether through commercial IT support experience or an apprenticeship, to join a leading IT solutions provider in a role offering technical variety, training and clear progression paths.

This company is a leading IT partner specialising in delivering solutions, installations, and support to a wide range of clients across England. In this role you will provide field‑based and occasional office desk‑side support, installing, maintaining, and repairing systems and devices, delivering technical support and IT advice. The role involves travel, including occasional overnight stays, with hybrid working available when not in the field.

The ideal candidate will have at least a year of experience in IT support as a technician, either in a commercial setting or an apprenticeship. Experience with core Windows environments, user and access management, and day‑to‑day troubleshooting is essential. Exposure to basic networking, cabling, on‑site hardware setups, or telephony systems is a bonus. The right person will be keen to learn and progress. A full UK driving licence is required for this role due to its field‑based nature.

The Role:
  • Provide field‑based and occasional desk‑side IT support, covering installation, maintenance, and repairs across a range of systems and devices.
  • Support a mix of clients in different sectors, offering clear technical guidance and hands‑on troubleshooting.
  • Participate in training and development programmes.
  • Travel to client sites as needed, including occasional overnight stays, with some hybrid working available.
The Person:
  • Early experience in Windows environments, with a good grounding in user support, access management, and day‑to‑day troubleshooting.
  • Any exposure to basic networking, cabling, on‑site hardware setups, CCTV, or telephony systems would be a bonus.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and is comfortable travelling to client sites.
  • Based within commuting distance of Bromsgrove office and keen on a varied, hands‑on technical role.
