  • Experience in an IT department is an advantage.

Job description
The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week Monday to Friday, based in our Midsomer Norton Head Office. As our Junior IT Engineer, you'll be part of a small but dynamic IT team providing first‑line support to the business, support colleagues via our helpdesk. You'll also help maintain and improve our IT infrastructure, support project delivery, and ensure our systems run smoothly and efficiently as we scale.

  • Setting up and maintaining hardware, software, and upgrades in line with Bridges IT roadmap
  • Assisting in IT projects
  • Assisting with account management, permissions, and security monitoring

Essential
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and troubleshooting issues
  • Knowledge of common software applications and their functions
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux)
  • Understanding of IP addresses, DNS and how devices connect to a network
  • Good communication and customer service skills and approach
Desirable
  • Previous experience in an IT department
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills, to logically break down problems and find solutions
