Job description
Main Purpose of Role

Konecta is seeking a Junior IT Engineer to be based at our partner Uniphore’s London office, a leader in Business AI, to support their employees across the EMEA region. This role is pivotal in enabling the organization to scale effectively in response to rapid business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that system operations, network infrastructure, and security protocols adhere to industry best practices and align with company objectives. The Junior IT Engineer will report directly to the IT Manager based at our US headquarters.

Your Responsibilities
  • Respond to support requests via tickets/emails and phone calls within response time SLAs, including ownership of issues and collaboration with the teams.
  • Help IT create and update FAQs or procedures when resolving issues.
  • Assist with new hire setup, onboarding, and offboarding according to the IT process.
  • Provide support to end‑users, system setup, system deployment, and system upkeep.
  • Update and maintain hardware and software inventory.
  • Manage user account issues like user password reset on services.
  • Install basic IT software and update the user’s system.
  • Assist with conference room issues and routine maintenance.
  • Provide remote support to our Spain office, and an occasional visit if needed.
  • Work with team members in different geographical locations and time zones.
  • Help on special IT projects as needed.
Skill Required
  • 2‑3 years of experience IT support
  • A positive attitude toward customers and a desire to help the end user
  • Good knowledge of troubleshooting laptops, desktops, and some network issues
  • Good knowledge of Windows, MacOS, and some Linux
  • Good knowledge in Azure, O365, Active Directory service, and group policy management
  • Some knowledge in audio/visual solutions such as Cisco WebEx, Zoom, and Teams video conferencing solution
  • Good communication both orally and in English writing at a variety of technical levels
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions

Operational Days and Hours

With given notice, Konecta reserves the right to change your working hours. Please note that whilst you will be supporting the operations, whose opening hours are 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday your Konecta contracted hours will be 8am – 8pm Monday to Sunday. You may be required to cover evenings and weekends when required by the business.

Systems & Training

Full training will be given by Konecta and will include supporting on‑going training requirements. You will also receive a full company induction that will include many areas such as GDPR and all other systems as required.
