Junior Investment Specialist Life Investment Office (LIO)

The Life Investment Office is responsible for the asset allocation manager oversight and selection and portfolio management activities for 150bn of assets under management including the 65bn PruFund range of multi-asset funds. They are the team responsible for the management of the largest With‑Profits Fund in the UK.

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Junior Investment Specialist to join our Client Portfolio Management team. This team is responsible for supporting our Distribution teams and educating financial advisers on the investment story of the funds and products managed by the Life Investment Office.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for financial markets knowledge of investment products and a talent for turning complex investment concepts into clear engaging content. You will support the development and delivery of investment communications across our multi‑asset fund ranges helping to ensure our messaging is timely relevant and impactful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pitch Deck & Presentation Support
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of investment pitch decks and presentations for internal and external audiences including advisers clients and distribution teams
  • Market & Fund Commentary
  • Contribute to the production of regular market updates and fund commentaries helping to interpret macroeconomic trends and portfolio positioning
  • Review of Market Materials
  • Support the review and quality control of externally sourced market content ensuring alignment with our investment views and communication standards
  • Content Simplification
  • Translate complex investment ideas into clear client‑friendly language suitable for a range of audiences including retail investors and financial professionals
  • Cross‑Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with all teams in the Life Investment Office as well as marketing and distribution teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging across channels
Key Knowledge Skills and Experience
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Real Estate and Alternatives)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and Word; experience with data visualization tools is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify technical content
  • Numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to prioritise and adapt to shifting deadlines
Qualifications
  • Investment Management Certificate preferred or working towards
