Position Title: Junior Investment Analyst
Reports To: Senior Analyst
Location: London, United Kingdom (Hybrid-working flexibility)
We are seeking an financial professional to act as a Junior Investment Analyst for a Law firm, performing financial modelling, portfolio reporting, legal research, and borrower relations. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, the ability to conduct in-depth credit and investment analysis.
Financial Analysis & Modelling:
Develop and maintain financial models to assess individual financing opportunities.
Lead credit evaluation and diligence of underlying borrowers and collateral.
Model complex scenarios to support investment decision-making.
Maintain cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses to ensure cash needs and sources are well balanced.
Legal Evaluation:
Work with management to evaluate legal framework and evaluate the risks and opportunities for potential fundings.
Evaluate budgets and service providers to identify reasonableness, efficacy and alignment.
Reporting:
Undertake calculations to evaluate and compare individual investment performance as well as portfolio and risk concentrations.
Prepare reports to the Investment Committee to enable it to evaluate and compare investment and borrower opportunities.
Support in the development and maintenance of accurate records and regulatory compliance.
Must have experience in credit evaluation and/or legal finance.
Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is beneficial.
Preferred Investment Designation: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation is highly preferred.
2+ years experience in financial analysis, investment analysis, or related fields.
Proficiency in complex financial modelling and investment analysis.
Excellent analytical, quantitative, and research skills, with attention to detail.
Strong understanding of accounting and investment principles.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
