Are you ready to step into a role where you’ll mentor HR Advisors, support a site of 650 colleagues, and take the lead in your HR Manager’s absence?

MacGregor Black are partnering with an FMCG manufacturing business looking for a Junior HR Business Partner. This is a perm on site role based in Wolverhampton.

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional to join our team in a role that blends operational HR with business partnering. Role offers the opportunity to influence and shape people practices at a fast-paced, growing site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of escalation for complex ER cases, providing expert guidance and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Mentor, develop, and support two onsite HR Advisors, building their capability and confidence.
  • Partner with site leadership, including a strong and engaged Site Director, to provide challenge, guidance, and influence when needed.
  • Ensure HR practices and processes are consistent, effective, and aligned to business and legal requirements.
  • Support the HR Manager in managing a site headcount of approx. 650 colleagues across production, engineering, and technical functions.
  • Lead on initiatives that improve employee engagement, workforce planning, and site performance.
  • Provide confident leadership in a busy, sometimes ambiguous environment, ensuring HR adds value to the operation.

  • Can show authority and resilience when working with senior stakeholders, with the confidence to challenge and push back where needed.
  • Thrives in a busy, high-volume environment and can adapt to a site that is still establishing structure and processes.
  • Enjoys mentoring and developing others, with some leadership experience.
