Junior HR Business Partner Advisor Vacancy, Newcastle upon Tyne

Permanent, Hybrid (4 days in office per week)

HR Recruit is currently seeking an experienced HR Professional for our Junior HR Business Partner vacancy. Reporting directly into the HR Business Partner, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress within HR moving from an operational position into a role with increasing strategic focus and influence. The role will play a key part in delivering both strategic and operational HR support to the Newcastle site. As the HR function continues to evolve, this position offers a unique opportunity to help streamline and integrate existing processes into the HR Shared Services model driving standardisation, simplification, and industrialisation.

Role Responsibilities
  • Change management: support and lead aspects of the continued integration of HR processes into the HR Shared Services model, with a focus on standardisation, simplification & industrialisation.
  • Business partnering: partner with the various departments & management team to enable a people first culture, aligned with local business and departmental objectives.
  • Generalist support: utilise a varied HR skillset to support all aspects of the employee lifecycle, prioritising key risk areas and activities as appropriate.
  • Employee relations: support and coach managers through a range of ER matters, ensuring best practice and compliance, taking the opportunity to build management capability in these processes.
  • Organisational design: support managers and leaders in developing organisational design aligned to the business requirements.
  • Process excellence: utilise the generalist nature of the role to make improvements/enhancements to existing HR practises across the site, with a focus on standardisation and waste-elimination.
  • Talent management: work with managers and leaders to embed talent management framework, supporting people development activities and succession planning.
  • Compliance: ensure compliance within people management processes.
  • Employee engagement: work across the site to identify employee engagement initiatives, aligned to employee feedback & improving our culture.
  • Cross-functional connectivity: build strong relationships across the Newcastle site with stakeholders, the wider UK & Global P&C team, and other functional areas.
  • Problem-solving: adopt a problem-solving mindset and lead problem-solving activities.
  • Employee wellbeing: operate in a people-centric way, supporting the mental and physical wellbeing of our employees.
Person Specification
  • 5-7 years previous HR experience in a generalist role
  • Formal HR education such as CIPD, HNC, Diploma, Degree etc
  • Excellent employment law knowledge (UK)
  • Knowledge of change management
  • Knowledge/awareness of project management principles
  • This role would suit an optimistic, motivated and resilient individual.
  • Results-focused and comfortable operating independently
  • Generalist knowledge of the employee lifecycle

This role would suit an experienced HR Advisor or HR Partner looking to progress their career.

In return you will receive a salary of between £47,000-£55,000 (depending on experience) plus bonus and excellent benefits.
