A university health service is seeking a part-time healthcare assistant (HCA) to support clinical staff with various duties. The ideal candidate will have phlebotomy training and experience in a healthcare setting. This role offers flexibility, and candidates are encouraged to visit the practice prior to application. University of Bristol Students Health Service is a GP practice for University students and their dependents. We are looking to recruit a healthcare assistant (HCA) to work 2 days (14 hours) per week (Monday and Tuesday).
We are a close and friendly primary care practice team that includes GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, pharmacists, psychologists and other allied professionals at an award winning university health service. Situated within a purpose built practice in a beautiful setting.
We would encourage a visit to the practice to meet the team prior to application.
Salary range- £24,685 (£13.56 per hour) to £26,093 (£14.34 per hour) based on 35 hours per week.
As an HCA you will support the work of the clinical staff and have responsibility for a range of clinical and administrative duties, e.g. phlebotomy (taking blood), taking observations, urinalysis, acting as a chaperone for coil clinics, ordering medical supplies, and stocking up clinical rooms.

The HCA will support the work of the clinical staff and have responsibility for a range of clinical and administrative duties, most of which involve direct care of patients. Training will be provided as required. The nursing team currently consists of six nurses and three healthcare assistants, all of whom have different roles within the team.
