Overview

Sunderland, North East England. Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum. Type: Permanent. Sector: Health & Safety. This role is for a Junior Health & Safety Advisor with a focus on construction safety and design risk management, within the specialist safety arm of the company. You will join an established team of 3 in the Sunderland office as an Assistant or Junior Safety Consultant.

This is a development-focused role, suitable for someone who has recently passed their NEBOSH General or Construction, and ideally someone who has a grounding or understanding of either construction or building design.

Responsibilities

• Support the construction safety and design risk management activities as part of the safety team.
• Work with chartered professionals to gain project exposure and develop in CDM and related safety practices.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure safety standards are integrated into projects and design processes.

Qualifications

• Recently passed NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction (preferred).
• Some grounding or understanding of construction or building design; open to candidates with limited CDM experience.
• Ambition to develop in CDM and construction safety with training and mentorship provided.

Salary & Employment Details

The opportunity is paying £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience. If you are completely new to CDM you would start at the lower end while the team trains you and supports you through any qualifications or memberships required. If you already have some CDM or construction safety experience, you would be considered at the higher banding. The company offers a friendly and supportive environment with guidance from chartered professionals.
