A leading M&E Contractor is seeking a Junior Health & Safety Advisor for a pharmaceutical project in Hull City. This role involves supporting the Health & Safety team, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH qualification and strong communication skills, with a pay rate of £25 per hour for 50+ hours a week. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH certification or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred.
  • Must be competent in digital record-keeping systems.

Responsibilities

Junior Health & Safety Advisor – Pharmaceutical Project (Hull CityHU14 3BQ)

We are currently seeking a Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join our client, a leading M&E Contractor, on a Pharmaceutical construction project based in Hull City.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will assist the Health & Safety team in promoting and maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance on-site. You’ll play a key supporting role ensuring that all site activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with legislation and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with legal and client requirements.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Support the reporting and investigation of incidents and near misses, contributing to root cause analysis.
  • Monitor workforce compliance including permits-to-work, PPE, and training records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital H&S records and documentation.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification).
  • Previous experience in a construction environment (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage teams on-site.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach with great attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and digital record-keeping systems.
  • Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as mandatory overtime due to site demands.
