Junior Geotechnical Engineer

Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join an expanding ground investigation and design consultancy based in Doncaster. The role provides an opportunity to take the next step in your career, working for a specialist team with over 25 years in the industry, on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities
  • Designing geotechnical structures including retaining walls, slopes, foundations and infrastructure
  • Carrying out desktop studies and overseeing ground investigations
  • Groundwater & gas monitoring, borehole logging & soil sampling
  • Factual and interpretive report writing
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
Qualifications

Essential: Experience as a Geotechnical Engineer with strong understanding of soil mechanics and ground investigation.

Academic: A degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Earth Sciences (with a geotechnical focus) or similar. MSc preferred.

Other: Full and clean UK Driving Licence, residence in or near Doncaster, and full right to work in the UK.
