Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer in Nottingham to join a global engineering and environmental consultancy. Open to graduates or engineers with up to three years' experience, with a varied split between site and office work across the UK.

The role offers hands-on fieldwork, development of reporting skills under experienced engineers, and opportunities within a growing UK operation backed by a global consultancy.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Earth Sciences or related discipline.
  • Up to three years' geoenvironmental/ground investigation experience.
  • Knowledge of ground investigation techniques and logging.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising and undertaking ground investigations.
  • Soil and rock logging to current industry standards.
  • Groundwater and ground gas monitoring and sampling.
  • Environmental sampling and contaminated land investigations.
  • Factual report writing and assisting with interpretative reports.
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors and drilling contractors.
  • Supporting the delivery of geoenvironmental and geotechnical projects from start to finish.

Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer

A global engineering and environmental consultancy is looking to recruit a Junior Geoenvironmental Engineer to join its growing Nottingham team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or engineer with up to three years' experience to develop their career within a supportive and technically strong consultancy, working on a wide range of ground investigation and contaminated land projects across the UK.

The role offers a varied split between site and office work, providing the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while developing technical reporting skills under the guidance of experienced geoenvironmental engineers and engineering geologists.

The Role
  • Supervising and undertaking ground investigations.
  • Soil and rock logging to current industry standards.
  • Groundwater and ground gas monitoring and sampling.
  • Environmental sampling and contaminated land investigations.
  • Factual report writing and assisting with interpretative reports.

Requirements
