Agilent is seeking a motivated Junior Full Stack R&D Software Developer to join our R&D team at the Harwell Science Campus near Oxford. You will contribute to developing innovative commercial web-based spectroscopy applications, collaborating with firmware, hardware, quality and data science engineers to deliver integrated product solutions.

The role focuses on .NET, C#, Angular, and modern web technologies, with Agile/SCRUM practices and AI-assisted development tools, ideal for recent graduates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of software development experience.
• Strong programming in C# and .NET; knowledge of web app development and AI in development cycle.
• Front-end tech: Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Understanding of testing, debugging and quality practices.
• Analytical, problem-solving and collaborative skills.
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web apps for scientific instrumentation.
• Deliver features across the product lifecycle from analysis to release and support.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, hardware, quality and data science teams.
• Develop backend services, RESTful APIs, and user-facing apps with performance and usability in mind.
• Troubleshoot defects and apply best practices like code reviews and automated testing.
• Participate in Agile/SCRUM activities and documentation.
• Keep current with DevOps, cloud and AI-assisted development tools.
