Job summary

CSC Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Junior Finance Assistant to support the finance team within a dynamic construction environment.

This role offers exposure to supplier invoices, project costing, payroll input, and month-end processes on varied commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, solid Excel/Office knowledge, and a proactive attitude to learn and develop within a finance team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within administration, accounts, finance, or bookkeeping is desirable.
• Construction industry experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the processing of supplier invoices and subcontractor payments.
• Supporting purchase ledger and sales ledger activities.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
• Raising and issuing client invoices.
• Processing employee expenses and company credit card transactions.
• Assisting with weekly and monthly payment runs.
• Supporting payroll administration and timesheet processing.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and project cost information.
• Assisting with month-end reporting and finance administration.
• Liaising with project teams, site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding financial matters.
• Supporting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc accounting duties and reporting requirements.
