The Role

They are looking for a Junior Field Engineer. This role is ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone at the early stage of their career who is eager to build upon their technical and interpersonal skills.

You’ll start by supporting senior colleagues in a wide range of activities, gradually building confidence and expertise until you can take ownership of these responsibilities yourself. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to highly technical products, work with leading-edge distributed computing solutions, and contribute directly to real-world defence missions.

What You’ll Do

As you grow into the role, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the sales team in understanding customer needs and objectives.
Assisting with product demonstrations, showcasing the features and benefits of their technology.
Helping to design and run proof-of-concept projects that demonstrate the effectiveness of their solutions.
Providing support in preparing technical documents, proposals, and responses to RFIs/RFQs.
Collaborating with product and engineering teams, sharing customer feedback to shape the roadmap.
Assisting with deployment and configuration of our clients' technology in customer environments.
Learning how to embed with customer teams, providing on-site technical support and integration.

Over time, you’ll develop the skills to manage these activities more independently and become the technical voice of the customer within the company.

Qualifications

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or another technical field.
Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to different audiences.
An analytical mindset with the ability to identify and solve technical challenges.
Willingness to travel when needed to support customer projects and events.
A proactive, adaptable attitude — comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A genuine interest in the defence sector (Army, Navy, Air Force, MoD).

Desired (not required):

Experience with modelling and simulation.
