Overview

Techniche Global is recruiting on behalf of a leading medical packaging manufacturer based in Milnthorpe, South Cumbria, currently expanding during an exciting period of growth.

Location: Milnthorpe, South Cumbria

Salary: depending on experience

Monday to Friday, Full-Time, Permanent Role

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to join a dynamic production environment in a hands-on, varied role.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement modifications to machines and systems to simplify processes and reduce downtime.
  • Work on creative engineering solutions for new challenges as they arise.
  • Collaborate with operations and management to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Take an active role in designing, testing, and implementing new systems, prototypes, and process enhancements.
What We9re Looking For
  • A Bachelors degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong interest in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to work on real-world technical challenges.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
  • Some industrial experience through a placement, internship, or junior role.
  • Familiarity with automation, control systems, or mechanical/electrical machinery.
  • Experience using CAD or engineering design tools.
