Job summary

CHS Group in Essex is recruiting a Junior Electrical Estimator/Electrical Quantity Surveyor. The role supports the commercial director, working onElectrical packages up to £1m across commercial, retail and residential sectors.

Experience with a sub-contacting environment and familiarity with Trimble estimating software and Excel are beneficial. The position offers exposure to both office and site environments, mentoring from an experienced manager, and opportunities to develop commercial

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical estimating for sub-contractors or main contractors.
• Ability to analyse drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
• Ability to work with bids, negotiate and adopt value engineering where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Support estimating team with electrical bids and tenders; prepare prime cost estimates.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and other docs to prepare estimates and propose design alternatives.
• Maintain tender documentation and supplier/subcontractor directory; support and mentor juniors.
• Track and report analytics relevant to campaigns and internal communications.
