My client is in engineering and they are looking to take on a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to develop as part of their team.

The Junior / Electrical Design Engineer role will ideally have the following attributes:

• NVQ/ HNC/ HND/ Degree qualification or similar ideally in Electrical Engineering
• Have knowledge of how to carry out electrical design
• Proficiency with CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical (but training can be given)
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities
• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Junior / Electrical Design Engineer role will involve:

• Working within the existing engineering team
• Developing electrical schematics and also transferring legacy schematics and creating the parts lists
• Using CAD to create new components and cable types
• Creating the associated BOMs
• Liaising with customers when required
