Job summary

Weareedenbrook invites a Junior Digital Finance Analyst to join our team in London. You will help automate finance and actuarial workflows, improve data quality, and develop dashboards and reports using modern analytics techniques.

You will work on data collection and transformation across various sources, support data controls, and contribute to cross-functional transformation projects while gaining exposure to predictive analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Insurance industry is preferred.
• Studying towards or holding Finance or Actuarial Science qualifications.
• Strong Excel skills including Power Query / Power Pivot.
• Familiar with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing speciality Insurer to recruit a Junior Digital Finance Analyst. The successful candidate will support the transformation of the finance and actuarial function by contributing to solutions that automate manual work, improve data quality and enhance existing tools.

Key responsibilities;

• Review existing financial and actuarial processes to identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
• Identify manual processes, duplication and data quality issues that can be streamlined or eliminated.
• Support the scoping, design, development and testing of new data and reporting solutions.
• Develop dashboards and reports using modern tools and data analytics best practices.
• Maintain and enhance existing solutions to ensure they remain effective and reliable.
• Support the design and implementation of data controls to improve accuracy and data quality.
• Explore and implement established finance and digital solutions to support business transformation.
• Collect, organise and analyse financial and actuarial datasets from multiple sources.
• Generate data-driven insights to support business decisions and improve operational performance.
• Support the development of predictive and analytical models to identify financial trends and risk factors.
• Assist with the implementation of new solutions, stakeholder communication and user training.
• Support cross-functional transformation projects from initial planning through to successful delivery.

The ideal candidate should have but not limited to;

• Background working within the Insurance industry.
• Studying towards or holding relevant qualifications and/or work experience in Finance or Actuarial Science
• Working knowledge of Excel, including Power Query / Power Pivot
• Exposure to data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau
