Future Engineering Recruitment Ltd in Coventry is seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering company and develop hands-on skills on bespoke machinery projects. You will work across design, project engineering, and customer interaction from concept through installation.

You will gain training, support, and a clear progression path as you contribute to varied projects and collaborate with experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Junior Design Engineer, Graduate Design Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, or similar.
• Some experience designing bespoke machinery, special purpose equipment, or mechanical products (through industry, placement, or apprenticeship).
• Experience using a 3D CAD package.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• A Mechanical Engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing bespoke machinery using 3D CAD.
• Supporting projects from concept through to completion.
• Assisting with project engineering and project delivery activities.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams.
• Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Preparing engineering documentation and supporting design reviews.
• Assisting with installation, commissioning, and customer handovers.
