Junior Design Engineer

Location: Littlehampton | Contract Type: Temp to Perm | Full Time

Our client is seeking a Junior Design Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Littlehampton.

The Role

As a Junior Design Engineer, you'll be at the heart of innovation, working hands‑on to bring new products to life. You will produce accurate technical drawings and maintain up‑to‑date documentation for sheet metal components and assemblies. Collaborating closely with engineers and production teams, you will help transform ideas into reality, ensuring that designs meet industry standards and are fit for manufacture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of new vehicle‑related products and components.
  • Create precise 2D technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
  • Prepare and update technical documentation, including detailed engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Manage revision control of drawings and maintain accurate records of design changes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet performance and costing.
What We Are Looking For

  • Proficient in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
  • Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication principles.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and tolerances.
