Job summary

OneFamily is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will help design, build and support data pipelines, integrations and cloud data products in Azure, translating business requirements into reliable, scalable solutions.

You’ll work with SQL, relational databases, data modelling and source control, in an agile environment, with coaching from experienced colleagues and exposure to tools like dbt, Python, Terraform and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering or related technical role.
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data modelling and source control.
• Exposure to Azure, dbt, Python, Terraform, Power BI or CI/CD is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes.
• Use SQL and modern Azure tools to create secure, scalable data solutions.
• Contribute to technical design, testing, deployment and production support.
• Work with engineers, analysts, architects and change colleagues in an agile environment.
• Improve data quality, reliability and operational efficiency.
