Mirai Talent is partnering with a data-focused organisation in South Manchester to offer a graduate Data Engineering pathway. You will learn from experienced engineers, contribute to live client projects from week one, and advance toward roles in analytics, architecture and AI.
Starting with SQL and Python foundations, you’ll grow through Databricks, cloud tech, Spark, Git, dbt and data modelling. A strong curiosity and proactive work ethic are valued.
Mirai are delighted to bring this opportunity to the market. There isn’t an abundance of brilliant graduate opportunities out there at the moment, particularly ones where you’ll be given real responsibility, proper investment and the chance to learn from seriously smart people.
So this is a super special one!
We’re partnering with a brilliant data organisation in South Manchester that works with businesses to build modern data platforms from the ground up. You’ll join a small, highly experienced team and work on live client projects from week one, learning directly from experienced Data Engineers, Architects and C-Suite.
This is much more than simply getting your first Data Engineering job.
As you develop, there are various pathways you could explore across Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Architecture and AI, depending on where your strengths and interests take you.
You’ll start by building your foundations in SQL and Python, before gaining exposure to technologies and concepts including Databricks, cloud platforms, Spark, Git, dbt, data modelling and ETL. You absolutely do not need to know all of these already. In fact, we’re deliberately keeping the search broad.
You might be a recent graduate. You might have completed a bootcamp. You might be self-taught or making your first move into technology. We’re not looking for a particular degree or university.
Personality and potential matter enormously here. The organisation specifically values curiosity, proactivity, attention to detail and people who are comfortable being thrown into the deep end and learning quickly.
Your development will be fast. The expectation is that you'll have contributed work to a live client platform within your first three months, be working more independently by six months and have ownership of a meaningful part of a client build by the end of year one.
There’s also significant investment in development, including funded training and Databricks certification, with progression shaped around the individual rather than a rigid career ladder.
We are looking for someone who wants good presence in the Wilmslow office. Particularly at this stage of your career, being around experienced people, asking questions, listening to conversations and learning by osmosis can make a massive difference to your development.
Mirai Talent is committed to creating an inclusive recruitment process and representing diverse talent. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences and encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement listed. If you require any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process, please let us know.
