Job summary

TGR Haas F1 Team, based in Banbury, UK, is seeking a capable Composites Technician to support bonding, trimming and repair of composite components. This role travels to races as a full-time member of the race team, contributing to daily operations, maintaining high standards of service, compliance, and performance.

You will read and interpret technical drawings, build and maintain jigs, and collaborate with the Composites team while adapting to the demanding schedule of race weekends.

Qualifications

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience within a composites manufacturing environment desirable, gained through employment, apprenticeship, placement, or relevant training.
• Experience within a motorsport environment would be advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information pertaining to assembly, periodic updates, and modifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the Composites department through bonding, trimming and repair practices and maintenance of jigs & fixtures.
• Report reliability issues and seek advice before undertaking unusual tasks.

General Summary

This role reports to the Composites Team Leader or their designee and is based in Banbury, UK. The role supports the delivery and contribution of departmental and organisational objectives, travelling to each race as a full-time member of the race team. Responsible for supporting day‑to‑day operations within their area of responsibility, working collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service, compliance, and performance. Adherence to organisational policies and procedures, effective communication with line management, and a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive ways of working is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Role‑Specific Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting the Composites department through bonding, trimming and repair practices associated with composite components, as well as maintenance of jigs & fixtures.
• Report reliability issues as they occur and seek advice before undertaking any out-of-the-ordinary tasks.
• Responsibility for the cleanliness and condition of your work area.
• Follow Engineering procedures and protocols as dictated by the Haas F1 Team pertaining to assembly, operation, and safety.
• Undertake trimming and bonding of composite assemblies.
• Build and maintain trim and bonding jigs, ensuring they are built in line with the latest drawing specifications.
• Work alongside experienced team members to develop technical knowledge and enhance your composites skillset.
• Collaborate and work cohesively with the Composites team daily regarding workloads, fault reporting and diagnosis, and forthcoming activities within the department.
• Track composite consumable stock levels, ensuring the department’s needs are kept above minimum stock levels and shortages are reported in good time.
• Follow Lifing and UIIL requirements to ensure full compliance in line with the regulations.
• Assist and support chosen departments to facilitate turnarounds, engineering projects, car builds, and event support.

Sensory Demands

• Exposure to high noise levels (e.g., engines, pit lane activity), bright lighting, and fast-moving environments is common in race support roles.

Health & Safety Compliance
