A healthcare organization in Farnworth is seeking an active member of the Neonatal Team to work full time (40 hours/week) in the Neonatal unit and postnatal ward. The position offers opportunities for participation in quality improvement projects and departmental teaching. The basic salary for this role is fixed at £52,656, with additional pay for out-of-hours work. The organization supports flexible working patterns.
The principle role of the post-holder is to be an active member of the Neonatal Team. The post-holder is expected to take a team approach to relationships with other departments, clinic and theatre staff.
The successful applicant would work at Tier 1 level in the Neonatal unit and post natal ward, and participate in out-of-hours rota. The post is full time (40 hrs /week).There will be opportunities to participate in audits/ quality improvement projects , simulation sessions etc. Post holder would be expected to attend and participate in departmental teaching sessions. A computer with internet access and a shared office will be provided.
The Royal Bolton Hospital is a busy acute hospital with an excellent reputation for teaching and senior support. In 2011 we opened our new purpose-built Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which consists of a total of 36 cots, 9 of which are designated as Intensive Care. We have over 600 admissions per year of which over 100 are of very low birth weight.

Basic salary offered for this role is fixed at £52,656 and will not be uplifted beyond that salary point. Where the role requires out of hours working, evening, weekend and on call enhancements will be added according to a work schedule. It is Trust practice that we offer a set salary for this role and variations will not be considered.
