A healthcare trust in the UK is seeking a Junior Clinical Fellow in Neonates for a 12-month fixed-term contract at Royal Bolton Hospital. Please note that Clinical Fellows are paid on a local pay scale that mirrors Doctors in Training pay scales. Basic salary offered for this role is fixed at £52,656 and will not be uplifted beyond that salary point. Where the role requires out of hours working, evening, weekend and on call enhancements will be added according to a work schedule. It is Trust practice that we offer a set salary for this role and variations will not be considered.

The principle role of the post-holder is to be an active member of the Neonatal Team. The post-holder is expected to take a team approach to relationships with other departments, clinic and theatre staff.
The successful applicant would work at Tier 1 level in the Neonatal unit and post natal ward, and participate in out‑of‑hours rota. The post is full time (40 hrs /week). There will be opportunities to participate in audits/quality improvement projects, simulation sessions etc. Post holder would be expected to attend and participate in departmental teaching sessions. A computer with internet access and a shared office will be provided.
The Royal Bolton Hospital is a busy acute hospital with an excellent reputation for teaching and senior support. In 2011 we opened our new purpose‑built Neonatal Intensive Care Unit which consists of a total of 36 cots, 9 of which are designated as Intensive Care. We have over 600 admissions per year of which over 100 are of very low birth weight.
