A leading NHS institution in the UK seeks an enthusiastic fellow to support the Gastroenterology team. The role involves ward rounds, referrals, and clinics under the guidance of a Consultant Gastroenterologist. The last few years have seen significant developments and expansion in the Gastroenterology provision at the Royal Free, which has now become one of the largest NHS institutions in the UK, serving a vast population through 4 major sites.
The department at the Royal Free Hospital consists of 16 Consultant Gastroenterologists, 3 clinical fellows, 2 nurse consultants, and 6 nurse specialists. Trainee support includes 3 SpRs. The physicians have a close working relationship with the Hepatology and Colorectal teams.
This post is designed to support the ward Gastroenterology team, with ward rounds, referrals, clinics and MDTs.
The post-holder will be supervised by a Consultant Gastroenterologist and work in a team with other SpRs already based at the Royal Free Hospital.
Job plan: After discussion with clinical lead.
