A major healthcare organization in Manchester is seeking a Clinical Engineering professional to ensure efficient maintenance and repair of medical devices. The role involves delivering high-quality services and interacting with clients across various sites in Greater Manchester. Candidates should possess knowledge of engineering principles and good communication skills. This position offers a comprehensive induction and opportunities for professional development.
The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust includes major teaching hospitals. A wide range of equipment is used for medical work ‑ diagnosis, monitoring, therapy and technical work ‑ throughout its wards, theatres, and clinical departments. Our department is accredited to the ISO9001:2015 Quality Standard and is responsible for the management of all types of reusable medical devices.
The varied and interesting work includes working within our engineering processing and compliance section, ensuring efficient and timely maintenance and repair of equipment, keeping accurate records, and dealing with clients on a range of medical device management issues. You will be expected to be the face of Clinical Engineering when in contact with our clients.
You will be mainly based at workshops in Manchester Oxford Road, Wythenshawe, North Manchester or Trafford General but will need to be flexible as you will also be working at various hospitals throughout Greater Manchester.
We will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
