Placements24 is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to join the Municipal Infrastructure team in East London. The role supports design, planning, and implementation of water, sewer, and road projects, under guidance from senior engineers, with a path to professional growth.

The ideal candidate holds a BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering, 0–2 years of post-graduate experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD. Strong teamwork and communication skills are expected as you contribute to public infrastructure

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• 0–2 years post-graduate experience; internship or vacation work valued.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and municipal design standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and reports under supervision.
• Support site supervision and quality control of construction activities.
• Conduct site investigations and data collection for planning.
• Liaise with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
