Job summary

Insight Commodities in London is seeking a Junior Emissions/Carbon Broker to join our carbon trading desk. You will facilitate transactions across voluntary carbon credits, compliance offsets, and allowances, building relationships with traders, corporates, and fund managers navigating the carbon transition.

The role requires 3+ years in carbon trading, strong numeracy, and the ability to model carbon economics, with office-based hours in West End and exposure to a global carbon trading platform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in carbon trading or environmental commodities.
• Deep understanding of carbon markets (compliance, offsets, emerging regs).
• Strong numeracy and ability to model carbon economics.

Responsibilities

• Source and execute emissions trading opportunities across compliance (EU ETS, UK ETS) and voluntary carbon markets.
• Build and manage a portfolio of institutional and corporate clients.
• Price carbon products competitively and manage deal flow from origination to settlement.
• Provide market insight and product education to clients.
• Navigate regulatory frameworks (MRV, additionality standards, ESG disclosure).
• Support due diligence and documentation for carbon credit verification.
